The Italian

We love skinny Italian Greyhounds. They are great with their pencil-thin legs.

See them from the front.

See them from the side.

See them from the back.

See them together.

Update:
For those who had trouble with the ears I am adding a photo guide in the hopes that it will help you.
Here is the ear pattern again in photograph form:

Ears (make 2)
ch4

turn, sc 3 starting in 2nd ch from hook

ch1, turn, sc 3 starting in 2nd ch from hook

turn, sc2,

 turn sc1,

ch1, sc3 down the side of the triangle shape to end up where you began

After doing a chain stitch make a sc stitch in each of these places I tried to mark with lines. Your thread will end up right next to where you began and you will have a neat triangle-like shape (at least as triangle as crochet can get this small)

Cut thread and fold in it half

and sew sides together and sew them to head. I hope that helps you figure out how to make the ears.

  2. Hey,
    Lovely pattern!
I can't quite figure how to make the ears.
Is it in rows or circles?
Can you, please, explain it to me a bit?
    Thanks in advance!

    1. I made corrections on the pattern wording and made a sample ear to make sure it was all okay.
Sorry about the poor word choice.
You fold the triangle-shape on one end and sew two of the points together. The third point in the triangle becomes the tip of the ear. I hope that helps.

  3. I really wish the instructions on this pattern were more clear; after about 6 attempts, I've concluded the ears are basically impossible to make.

  4. Or even if there was a warning that said : Warning, our ears are impossible to make. You might want to try the ears first, and if you can't make em, don't bother with the rest of the pattern.

  5. Diane beaure: I am sorry you had so much trouble with the ears. I made some and added a photograph guide to the pattern. I hope that helps. If not maybe you could send me an e-mail and we could trouble-shoot together.

    1. Hi,
I finally got them - the pics helped big time. Sorry I was such a dick, I was totally furious with those ears!!! Hahahahaha! I guess I should just learn to be happy that people try to put things out there to help others at all; so sorry about that. He's looking great now!

  6. I know you posted this ages ago, but I just wanted to say that I can't thank you enough for sharing this pattern! Things are tight for us this year financially, and this will be the perfect frugal Christmas gift for my mother, who's been rescuing ex-racing hounds for years. I had no problem whatsoever with the ears, but those itty bitty legs were a little difficult!
