This unicorn is so glamorous and sparkly. She will look beautiful under the tree.

Orange Pony

And here is the orange pony. I loved making her hat so much. Right now it just sits on her head. I'm thinking of adding elastic before it goes under the tree.

Walnut Acorn

If you need a last minute Thanksgiving decoration. Here is a quick project. You will need a walnut, a glue gun, and medium weight cotton yarn.

With an f hook make 5 sc in a magic circle
Rnd1: 2sc in each sc around (10)
Rnd2: *1sc, 2sc in next st* repeat around (15)
Rnd3: sc around (15)
Rnd4: sl st around (15)
Cut thread and weave up to center top along with the other thread. Tie four square knots to make the stem and then weave the yarn ends back into the cap. Glue cap to the top of a walnut. You can use these as decoration on your Thanksgiving table. You could also put them in a wreath or hang them on a garland.

Unicorn

My daughter has a birthday this summer so today I decided I had better start working on some of her presents in order to get them all done before the big day.

Draft Blocker

Along the bottom of our back door we get a draft of cold air in the winter. I have been putting a rolled up towel there but I thought it might be nice to have something cuter. It is nearly spring here and the weather is getting warmer. I don't need my new draft stopper as much now, but I like it so much. I think I will leave it up for a long while yet.

Giant Flowers

I have challenged myself to learn some new stitches. It started when I saw a cute blanket on pinterest that used the bobble stitch. I had a bunch of pink yarn so I started making a blanket.

I like to shop at second-hand stores for small balls of yarn. You can find interesting colors and I never need a big ball so it works fine to buy them as leftovers. The other day I found two unopened packages of Koala safety noses at my local second-hand store. Now, I might make one Koala but I can't see myself making six. I bought both packages anyway because they were only fifty cents.

Bean Bags

Before I started writing patterns down I made this fun pinto "bean bag" one day while I was canning beans. Today I decided to recreate him. The new version looks a little "older" so I gave him a mustache.

Owl Ornament

I have been busy lately working on my book so I apologize for the long absence. To make up for the silence I have decided to try a Pinterest Challenge. I picked an inspiration photo from my crochet file on Pinterest.

Crow

I decided to make a crow to go with my scarecrow. Sorry I tried to make a scarecrow pattern but it got too complicated to write. I hope you like the crow though, enough to make a whole murder.

Happy Labor Day

I have been putting out my fall decorations today. I love the crisp, cool feeling in the air. Fall is my favorite time of year.

Dormouse

Years ago I helped my grandmother clean the dust out of her china cabinet. In appreciation she gave me four teacups. Yesterday as I was dusting my own china cabinet I looked at those four teacups and thought of the Mad Hatter's tea party in Alice in Wonderland. So now my china cabinet holds those four treasured teacups and a dormouse.

As requested by vicarno's mama, here is the pattern for the flower pens. I did three styles of petals to show how you can change the pattern depending on what is your favorite. You could also design your own petals.
